I have a user asking me if we create a workflow with a review task in it, can we run a single workflow which would assign a single review task per user on multiple documents? They would have document A and Document B, both need to be approved as part of the same process. Rather than run 2 workflows and assign the 2 tasks per reviewer, can it be part of a single workflow and single task?

Hi Joe,

usually workflows run on a 1:1 basis with a document or list item.

However you can also run workflows for folders or document sets. Would it be helpful to have documents in a document set and then start the workflow for the document set? The approval status of the document set could be inherited by the documents. Means, if the document set gets approved, alls documents in it show approved too.

Best regards

Enrico

Thanks for the reply. That was my assumption but I wanted to make sure.
