Goal for advance preview
The goal of this advance preview is for users who have access to SharePoint Server or Office 365 to validate the functionality and test specific scenarios pertaining to using forms within the SharePoint ecosystem.
What should I test?
Please focus on testing the following features:
- Design canvas
- Drag a control onto the design canvas from the toolbox
- Drag a control next to another control
- Reorder controls in a row
- Reorder controls into other rows
- Controls
- Settings a Title on a control rather than using a Label control
- Set a description on a control
- Change the control width
- Create a space to the left of a control (Having the control on the right of the canvas)
- Delete a control
- Rules
- Create a rule to hide one control
- Create a rule to hide multiple controls
- Preview
- Preview the form in 'Preview Devices'
- Preview the form in 'Preview Form'
- Filler experience
- View the form on a desktop browser
- View the form on a mobile browser

Are there any new features besides the Responsive Layout?
We are currently working to improve some UI elements which include:
- Updated Rules panel
- Select/Deselect all rules
- Delete multiple rules
- Drag/drop reorder rules
- Update and simplified rules editor
- Device preview (Separate from Preview)
Are there any controls or features that responsive forms will not support?
Yes, there are several controls that will not be supported in the responsive forms functionality, these include:
- List View (On-premises only)
- List item (On-premises only)
- External data column (On-premises only)
- Workflow diagram (On-premises only)
- Publish as a Live form (on-premises only)
- Border
- Custom JavaScript
- Custom CSS
- Device layouts
- Controls in use panel
- Copy/paste control
Can I use custom JavaScript with these responsive forms?
No. Our intent is to provide the controls and capabilities customers typically reverted to JavaScript for such as UI constructs, setting default values and additional validation of the product. JavaScript functionality will remain available in the ‘Pixel Perfect’ forms.
