Symptoms
There was desire to create customized error message that would display when a form goes into error and it was desired that the custom message resemble K2's out of the box style of presenting errors.

Resolution
One way to go about this would be to use the K2 P_D Error Form, an out of the box system form that is created and deployed by K2 at installation. As this is a system form it is by design uneditable. In order to gain the ability to edit it you must first save a copy of the form which can then in turn be edited. Since the copy retains the rule set of its parent this also allows for the ability to study the rule logic and see how the form obtains its error messaging at runtime.
