Symptoms

You receiving the following error:

"Error","SmartObjects","10702","Error","SourceCode.SmartObjects.ServiceBroker ExecuteSmartObject]","10702 An error occurred in the %SQL% Service Instance. Exception.Message: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)
 

Diagnoses

As error message clearly indicates this is problem with opening connection to SQL server, locate appropriate SQL server service instance and verify that all connection properties (e.g. SQL server host name) are valid. Also check network connectivity/firewall settings.
