Nintex for Office 365

Hello all, New to Nintext but not to Sharepoint. Need help. I am trying to solve this problem. I want to be able to put in a user(people picker) in a SP list and then have Ninitex WF find the users Manager and then find the users managers, Manager. So put in worker and have WF find workers manager and then regional manager. I have tried to do this two ways so far. Try-1. Set variable as User, User manager and Managers Manager.

So I developed a workflow and once it was what the customer wanted I made It a production workflow. And they are now using it. So what is best practices to make updates to that workflow without interrupting production? Also when making changes to a workflow in production how do the workflows in progress react to it? Would they complete using the previous workflow?

We are facing issue with o365 workflow where in production system workflow are getting suspended after flexi task is assign to approver and after approval it is getting stuck. Please let us know how to fix this error. Below is the error we are getting. RequestorId: 3ffc9e50-1f9f-85ca-0000-000000000000. Hi,I am designing a small workflow that focuses on when and item field with multiple values allowed to be replicated to a different list in a different site with identical list structure.Take for an example a task list, where you can have and assign multiple people assigned to a task. I have workflow that was previously using a formatted column to grab the next available request number.  Now they seem to unsupported.  I get the number from a column I call NextNumber, add leading zeros, and tack it at the end of a string I put together from 2 other columns, so it looks like TravelRequest-FY19-0001. I tried using some RegEx I found on this forum (not much) and internet but I get weird results or it only gives me the number with no zeros.  I want a max of 4 numbers (0001 to 9999) This is one I tried, but it only gives me the number without 0.(d+)/'0' x (4-length($1)) I also assume using a RegEx (replace?) to build the leading zeros first then a build string would be the easiest?

Has anyone here used Plumsail Workflow Scheduler for SharePoint Online? If so, how has your experience been with it? Was your purchase process smooth? We purchased it this morning as Nintex does not seem interested in enabling Workflow Scheduling for 365 users. However, we still have not received an email with the key and we've not been able to reach anyone at Plumsail. I was just trying to see if anyone else had a similar experience during purchase?

Hi All, Is there a way to force users to authenticate prior to approving a task for Nintex 365? We need this for the system to meet with 21CFR Part 11 Compliance.There looks to be a way for the On-Prem SharePoint Version however it looks like the same option is not available for the 365 version. Any help with this would be appriciated. 

I am having problems with getting data out of a collection variable.  At first I was using a complex collection variable which was populated by a List query and returning 4 different columns and their values.  Since I couldn't get out any of the data, I then changed my query to just return on 1 column of data.  There is only one row that is returned with my test query.   Here is my problem, I can't get the data for my item out of the collection.  I have a For Each on the collection and it that I use Get Item from Collection.  When I do that I get the error: Index must be 0 or greater.  Doesn't matter if I hard code a 0 into the value field, or a 1, or use a interger variable set to 0, I still get that error.  I even tried to run the Get Item from Collection on it's own and then I get the error: Index property is greater than the number of items in the collection. Here is my collection variable from my history log: [{"FUND_x0020_TITLE":"475 - CULVER CITY P

When an item is submitted, the workflow creates a link to a new item with the following tag in the URL, &origID=ItemProperty ID and it adds this to a column.  Someone can open the original item, click on the link and it will open a new form with the original ID in the url.  This is then added to a field on the form using javascript and this is used as my "Change Request".  With that said, here is my question.... How do i use javascript to take this ID and then populate the remaining fields on the form with the original item's fields?  I have been reading/testing for hours and i cannot figure out how to query the list, filter by ID, and then set the various fields to variables.  Once i have the fields set to variables, i know how to set these to the fields in my current item.... I just can't figure out how to get the fields from the query.  Thank in advance.... Let me know if you want further clarification.

Hello: I have created a Nintex form based on 3 lookup lists (cascading), seeing an issue where list 3 has a duplicate values show up in the drop-down and some have no values to be selected. Please see my examples below. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have an old classic form for submitting a travel request.  In this form was a button that had some javascript that would launch a workflow to withdraw the request after it had been submitted.  This made it easy for the travelor to withdraw it without invoilvment from IT or to leave workflow instances running. I am redesiging everything, form, workflow, you name it.  Since I can't use js in the responsive form, is there another way to do that in the form?  OR does anyone have any other ideas on how to have a user kill a workflow with a push of a button? (rather than going through the instance and knowing what to press)

I have a form with both bound and unbound data in it. I want to take some of these unbound fields on the form and bind them to a column, bringing the data from the unbound state into the column. What's the best way to do this? I've started down the path of querying the XML from NFForm, but run into a "XML source cannot be empty" error when I hit a record with no data in the unbound section.Suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a request to copy list items from a list in SharePoint Office 365 to a list in SharePoint 2013 on-premise.  I know there are workflow actions in Nintex Workflow 2013 on-premise to create list items in Office 365.  But is there a way to copy/create a list item in SharePoint 2013 via a workflow in Office 365? The environment is SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Office 365.  We also have Nintex Workflow 2013, Nintex Workflow for O365, and Nintex Workflow Cloud.

We have certain internal info that our Investments team updates daily. They wanted to be able to quickly and easily update the data and have it display on a page in SharePoint. Due to their familiarity with Excel and predisposition towards it, we did this with an Excel viewer part that has a tab for each page they want and they just update the Excel sheet. Now, they want an email to go out when they update this info and for it to contain the changes they made. So I created a site workflow that sends an email whenever a reminder date = current date. I wanted the email to be sent to what was inputted on the InfoPath form, which have 3 different email fields that need to be submitted. I wasn't sure if I should make a list query action and use the for each action or if I have to input the emails manually.  Thanks

Hello, I've seem to have a problem with data not being saved to the task list when editing a task form using Nintex forms.Little background:I've created a process using Nintex Workflow that include multiple tasks. Each task requires some data to be filled in by the user and his approval. I've created for each kind of task a new content type, inheriting from the default workflow task. I've created my workflow and tested it using the default form experience in SharePoint. So far so good.Now I'm editing the forms so that the contain the company logo and some other theme. Hello, well I have form to input product(s) request. A product has by several fields to deifne it's charateristics, and those are grouped in a repeating section.This repeating section is long enough to fit all the required fields, thus creating a request for say 5 items will end up with a very long form which negatively effects the layout of the whole form. Is there a way to have the "Add new row", automatically reates new tab for the new row and not directly below it?Below is an example of how this section should look like. Hope the above request is clear and please let me know if resources or insturctions to follow since I couldn't find similar approach within this forum. Thank youHassan

Hi My requirement is to copy a master (custom) list item across to another list  and also copy the related child list items to a separate source  custom list to a destination custom child list . A Nintex for Office 365 List Workflow once triggered on the master list Item does all the work behind the scenes.  To preserve the master-details relationship I indeed to insert the Title or ID to update a lookup field in  each newly copied child list item.  Copying the current item using an Insert Item Action works fine.. Next I have to deal with one or more child items . I think this means only a Dictionary and a For Each Loop can do this.       In my For loop, I have quite a few Get Dictionary Item Actions and most work fine ( as long as I ensure I use the static names in the Path) The issues I current have are:

Hi Folks, Hope someone can help. I have been working to get the Embedded Repeating Sections working in 365 Workflow and I am really close to getting it to work. I have one last hurdle. I have been building Strings from the NFFormData And feeding that into text Variables. This is allowing me to strip out all extra XML generated by the the Embedded Sections and allow me to produce some readable xml for the Workflow to use. The only bit I am having an issue with is removing the extra ><?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>< strings produced by each Embedded Section. (it has double lt; and gt; to distinguish it from the main xml header that I need to retain. Can anyone help me with this as I cannot remove the string. Hello,     I am developing a workflow that I have set to start only when an item is modified and a "Approval Status" column equals "Send for Approval". However, this workflow will not start. I have allowed workflows to use app permissions on the site itself and have used both a "save" and a "save and submit" button on the form. Am I missing something? Any help is welcomed and thanks in advanced!

Is there anyway in a workflow to determine the "Assigned use" during runtime?  When doing development I would like to change who the e-mails are addressed to.  Rather than trying to create a variable and then needing to make sure it is changed, I would like to just see what the Assigned Use is to know that.

Hello everyone, I have Nintex 365 running for SharePoint online and I am wanting to send an email with attachments. I've spent a long time online trying to find answers but I still have no answers. My email looks a lot like this: TO: HelpdeskSubject: {Current Item: Job Number}:{Current Item: Site Name}Body: Please find attachments here: {Current Item: Attachments} The finished product looks like this: FROM: no-reply@mycompanysubject: NE15013:00003 : Water Houses (RES)Body: Please find attachments here: TRUE. Instead of showing "TRUE" for attachments how do I actually attach these documents?The workflow is linked to a LIST with ATTACHMENTS field. There are usually more than one attachment and the form was built in Nintex forms 365. Hope someone can help me. Best Regards, Andrew
