O365 workflow change control

I'm curious to know how others handle the testing and Change Control process for workflows. I make modifications in the Test tenant and test the workflow there - can be arduous with some of the logic and boundary conditions.  Once done I export from Test and import to Production through the Workflow editor page.  However, within Production when I edit an existing workflow (lets call it Flow1), select import, it doesn't overwrite the existing definition of Flow1, but closes that object and opens the imported workflow as a new object.  I can't then save it as Flow1 "a workflow with that name already exists", so have to go with Flow2.  That also changes the name of the status fields in List view and starts to get messy. The alternative is editing the existing Flow1 workflow and manually repeating the changes previously done in Test - not the safest of methods. How do you handle this? Thanks,Gerard

Edit view different display view

Hi, I want to know why I don't see the same view in the designer and in the browser. Resize runtime property is "no" for all the fields. Is there any property I need to change? (Buttons and approved columns are not important), the problem is with the labels and people controls. Designer Browser

Push value into Lookup field

Hello everyone, I have a lookup field called "SitesLookup" which provides users with a list of sites to select from. Once selected JavaScript runs on the form and pulls data such as "Management Area" and "Post Code" into the forms corresponding text fields. I now need to look up another list, the "Management" list. Nintex Workflow Stuck in "Starting" Status

Hi Everyone, I have an issue with workflows at the moment. They are supposed to start automatically and manually but they don't work at all. Going back a month ago maybe a little while longer everything worked fantastic. Now the same work flows that worked well get stuck in "Starting" status and this is across the whole SharePoint site collection, affecting every list on every site and sub site, workflows do not work anymore. The only recent changes i'm aware of between the time they worked and the time they stopped have been:1 - Company Credit card details had changed and were not updated on SharePoint 365. They were eventually updated.2 - Renewing Nintex forms and workflow licenses. SharePoint designer workflows also do not work and do the same thing.- SharePoint designer workflows add a column in the list for the workflow that shows the Status as "Starting" and that never changes until I manually 'end the workflow'. No history is logged because the workflow did not start.- Nintex wo

Exchange Online create calendar item in Share Public Calendar

Good day all.  Let me preface question with the fact that I am newer to Nintex.  And IT.I have created a Time Off Workflow with the "Exchange Online create calendar item" action in it to write to the users personal calendar.  After some trying, I have everything set correctly to perform this action, for a regular users calendar to be written to.  This took some work in both the action and our Exchange set-up. Works great now.My issue is when trying to do this to our company calendar, which originates from a Public Folder. This does not work.  I have enabled the mail settings in the a fore mentioned public folder.  But I cannot get it to work.I keep getting an error in the workflow that example.user@exampleurl.com doesn't exist but I know it does as I see it listed in the Exchange command center under Public Folders.Anybody out there make this happen and what to tell me how??CB

Does deleting a List in SharePoint Online technically delete the Nintex Workflows/Forms associated with it?

So, just out of curiousity, does deleting a List in SharePoint Online technically delete the Nintex Workflows/Forms associated with it? With some of the future pricing models coming up based on quantity, I'm curious if I create 3 test workflows on a List/Library, and delete the List/Library later, is there any kind of signal that deletes those workflows in the Nintex database?  Or do they just kinda float out there in limbo?

Lookup field data not saved in hidden panel - o365

Hi,I have a form with sevearl fields and a panel that I hide if the user is not part of a group (Buying Department). In that panel I have a text field, a choice field and a lookup field.When I create a new item and I'm not in the Buying department, as expected I don't see the fields in the panel, I can fill in the other fields on the form and save it.If I'm in the Buying Department, I can edit the form, fill in the fields inside the panel and save. All the data is saved as expected. Now if a user not in the Buying Department goes back to edit that form and save it, the data in the text and choice field of my panel are preserved, but the lookup field is not and ends up being empty. Why is that? How can I ensure that the data in the lookup field is not lost?

Hi, I tried today to export a workflow from an O365 list with IE 11 (on Windows 10) - but without luck. Nothing happend, no download and no error message. Then I tried the same workflow with Edge - and voila! Anyone else experiencing the same behaviour?

I have customer who uses AD security groups to control access to their SharePoint environment. They want to use Nintex Workflow for O365 to send an email to an AD security group. Is that possible? If not, what are alternative solutions? ThanksDean

Where can i find my nintex workflow for office 365 license key?

When I go to Admin > SharePoint > apps > Manage Licenses > Nintex workflow for Office 365, it does not show an option to view the license key. This sort of makes it hard to submit a support ticket, because that is required. The 'conspiracy theorist' in me suspects this may be by design. Make it hard/impossible to get the license key and there will be fewer support tickets.

office 365 query list vs query list

I have noticed that date oriented filters in Office 365 Query List Actions don't behave in the same manner as the normal Query List Action.  Example: I have a query list action that returns items that are less than a specified date variable.  This works consistently.The same exact query in the Office 365 Query List Action returns nothing. The Office 365 list query does work with other filters, just not a date filter that is less than.  Has anyone else seen that?

Maximum Number of Deep Linking Pre-Populated Paramters

Is there a limit to the number of paramters that can be pre-populated in form fields through deep linking?  I can't seem to get it to work past 2 fields.  Is there an order that needs to be followed in order to get it to work past 2?

Anyone found a way to create a shortcut on an Ipad to open Nintex to 0365 login without having to enter URL

I will have multiple users using the same iPad.When you log out of Nintex Mobile the next user has to go through the whole process of logging back in including entering the site URL which is a bit laborious. I have found a shortcut that will open a nintex app but only works after Nintex mobile is opened in the background and I cannot get Safari to hold the URL long enough to create a desktop icon shortcut or add to favourites as once you paste the URL and hit enter safari warns you that another app is going to open/opens and then the URL reverts to whatever was  previous nintexmobile://?authtype=office365&url=https%3a%2f%2fxxxxxxxxx.sharepoint.com this will populate the URL and load the login page to the correct site - note: the url must be encoded as shown.

List Lookup on form works until underlying list refreshed and then json error on submit.

I have a list populated using Nintex O365 workflow that accesses data from an oData Web Service exposed from our enterprise.This works fine and populates a list with 2 fields ContainerNo and ID as below. This workflow deletes all items in this list and repopulates each time the workflow is run. I have created a Nintex O365 form that is exposed for Nintex  Mobile, iPhone and iPad and uses a "PreLoad Container Inspection List" as its source.As part of this form I have a list lookup that looks up the ContainierNo's from the PortPackContainers and inserts the ContainerNo from the PortPackContainers list into the PPContainer item on the PrelLoad Container Inspection List on submit.  When first creating this Form I had an issue where I get the below error on Submit After 2 days of frustration I deleted the Container field from the "PreLoad Container Inspection List" and created a new field called something similar ContainerNumThis fixed the error and the container number updated no problem.

Start a task process not delivering email to ‘Assigned to’ user

I have been working on a workflow solution for staff onboard application. The solution had sequential as well as parallel processing blocks for task approvals for which I have been using bothAssign a task and Start a task processAll was well and the task assignment notifications were sent as expected to the approver/SharePoint group of approvers (in the case of start a task process) with Lazy Approval enabled. They could reply email with their outcome for the task post which the process flow continues as assigned.Each of the task assignment task form was edited and customized for ease of approvers, with rules to show ONLY the sections of the form they need to see and not the hundreds of other fields. So far so good eh! But then, the past week, task assignment notifications in the parallel processing blocks were not delivered to the approvers.(Cyborg approvers is a custom SharePoint group that is selected conditionally should the user requested access for the same). Nothing got changed

Calculated value connected to a field not saved

Hi Community, I have created a custom list with 3 columns: Title (Single line of text), Title2 (Single line of text) and TitleConcat (Single line of text).Next, I have created a form based on that list but with a calculated value connected to the TitleConcat.The formula of the calculated value was very simple:Finally, I published the form.When I create a new item and I save it, the TitleConcat column in the list is still empty.I had the same form in Nintex Forms OnPremise and it works fine: TitleConcat contains the expected value.Did or do you encounter a similar issue? How did you solve it? Note: I don't want to use a calculated column in my list.

Error handling for action that manage users on O365

Hi, I was looking at the action available of Nintex for O365 to manage user profile and I've found that currently there is no error handling..I'm trying to create a workflow that, based on some date in a list, will create a user on O365 and assign him some license, I've looked also on Node environment for a similar workflow and I've been able to do that kind of workflow..The workflow runs correctly if the new username calculated from the workflow is not existing, but if for some reason (depending on naming convention on user account) the username is already existing, the Create O365 user action fails and the workflow get stuck in suspended internal state..I've tried then to query User Profile by the "new" username before using the create action, but that action errors if the username provided is not existing, so the workflow is stuck again.. Do you have any suggestion on how to check if a username is already existing or not on O365? Thank you very much for any suggestion! Giacomo

Run if people picker field or date changes

We're working on a project management solution in which each project will have it's own site on which there will be a task list with the "sub-tasks" of that project. Each of these sub-tasks will be assigned to a person in our team. What we're trying to accomplish, is to have the workflow email the original assignee if the assignee changes. Meaning, if Frank is assigned a project, then the lead decides that Martha would be a better "fit" to complete the task or whatever, and they change it to Martha, Frank gets an email that he's no longer assigned the task and Martha gets an email that she has a new task. In that same vein, if Frank is assigned a task and the due-date of that task is changed, we want Frank to get an email with the new due date of that task. The problem is that once the field is changed, the previous value is "lost". We tried having the assigned person field write to a variable, but unless you can pause until a change or there's a way to get variables "cross-workflow" t
