DocGen for Salesforce

Are there any watch outs when completing a Full Sandbox Refresh?  We are about to do a full refresh and it is the 1st time since having DocGen(Drawloop) in our Org.  Currently there are not any Developmental Packages, so I am not worried from that standpoint.

I'm having this error when generating a doc in Salesforce using Nintex, but I’m not able to debug further as this is a managed packageError creating attachment for (Change_Request__c:a6U3z000000UBrk) (invalid_type_on_field_in_record): --DEPRECATED - Do Not Use--: value not of required type: (ExternalError)Include this Error Id if you contact support: d834bdfa-76c8-4055-a3e4-b179b93af2fd

We have a requirement to show rows for as many records there are for a specific record value. We work in finance and have a table in a word document to list all “Borrowers”. There is always at least one of these so the text of “Borrowers” is ok to always show and is not part of the table. However, we also need to show all “Guarantors”, if there are any. This is where it gets tricky. The “Guarantor” table include this word on the left so it appears the same as “Borrowers” does. In order to ensure the word “Guarantor” doesn’t remain on the word doc is to include it in the table so it is removed if no records are found. If there are NO “Guarantor” records, the table will delete. Perfect. If there is more than one “Guarantor” this word appears to the left of every matching record listed. Eeeeash. Is there a way to make the text appear or not appear in any other way? I am struggling to meet this requirement. Any help is appreciated.   

I am trying to add the Opportunity Owner name from Salesforce into my document. I have tried various versions of the field name and nothing is working. Other fields are appearing fine so I guess it’s something specific about the Owner field. Anyone had experience of this?

I am trying to build a formula that adds 14 days to today’s date in ‘Email Text’ in Nintex DocGen Package > DocGen Package Name > Delivery Options > Edit DocuSign > Email Options:Dear <<Programme_Participant_Participant_First_Name>>, Please find enclosed the non-disclosure agreement that we ask that you review and sign by 14 days from  <<Today>>.Where I have highlighted in red, I would like this to be a formula that shows the date which is 14 days from today’s date.Can anyone assist?Many thanks. 😀 

Will Mass DOCGen Package download delivery be available for downloads/

I am having an issue with the following scenario:In Salesforce, a user can create an Invoice Record. Attached to that Invoice record are Line Items. There can be one line item or multiple. We want to generate an excel document where each row represents for of the line items and then attach the generated doc to the invoice.I am able to get one line item to show and the doc to attach to the files section. How do I pull each line item and populate on the excel sheet?Thank you. 

I have a package that uses a Custom Object as its primary object and I get an Invalid Id Field error when I using Create/Edit Record on the Delivery Options.  I have Update existing record checked and the record Id is used in the Field-Value Pairs box.  I am able to add a new child record and create a task but not update the starting record.  Here is the resulting error:An error has occurred when performing an Insert-Update: Error: Create Failed: INVALID_ID_FIELD: Record ID: id value of incorrect type: -- Id (ExternalError)  

Hello,I set up a Word template for Salesforce CPQ (via Doc Gen Docusign) and I would like to remove blank space when a conditional part doesn’t display on a Doc. I saw we can use the “SuppressParagraph” but I don’t understand how to use it. I tried a lot of combination but it doesn’t work well ! I wrote a formula like this :<# <SuppressParagraph Test="/SBQQ__Quote__c/Field__c[text()=’False’]” /> #> => if the formula checkbox is True, the paragraph displays ! The rule applies to the paragraph after it although it’s already a formula applied, which is not triggered. Do I need to add something at the end of the paragraph as for the conditional formula (<# <EndConditional/> #>) to specify the start and the end of the paragraph ?Thank you in advance and have a nice day Jo

We have a DocGen for Salesforce package that is delivered via DocuSign and includes many custom secure fields (which in turn writeback to Salesforce via DocuSign connect). Several of these fields are checkboxes, many of which are part of the same “checkbox group,” meaning that at least one of the checkboxes within this set is required to be checked. I understand that individual checkboxes cannot be marked as required, but I’m wondering if there is any way to create a “required” checkbox group via DocuSign secure fields in this delivery method. If not, is there some kind of workaround that would allow us to generate a document that includes field sets like this in which at least one of the available options must be selected?I know that DocuSign has a native “checkbox group” option but is there any way to leverage this via DocGen for Salesforce? What are my options?

Is there any way to set delivery options to automatically trigger a DocuSign envelope to send to the first signer automatically with a single click? We send out a large quantity of contracts that are generated with Nintex DocGen and then delivered via DocuSign. Currently, this requires a lot of clicks to preview/review DocGen Packages before they go out. We’ve done some messing around with delivery options, specifically the “Signing Preview and Edit” and “Auto Send” options, but these just seem to send the package to DocuSign as a draft (although yes, it does skip some of the review work).Is there any way to instead have these envelopes automatically send? Am I missing something?The delivery option in question is below: 

I have a word document that needs to display either 2 values depending on the contacts country of citizenship. Value A should be displayed for approximately 15 countries, while all others would show value  b.   I’ve created an or statement on the Excel cell on the middleware file for the 15 countries. Every time I create the document it always shows Value B,  how can I pass the citizenship value into the middleware as an input to then determine if value A or B should be displayed, and then populate that on my word document when creating the word document?

I just want to us the LongDate format but it seems to be the only option for Today not in the tagger. Looking for either someway to update the tagger options or just type in the format. Thanks in advance for any help. Ben

Is there a way to utilize Drawloop/DocGen to  schedule/subscribe quarter or annual reports from Salesforce? Salesforce has the daily, weekly, or monthly option, but not quarterly or annually.Thank you in advance!

I am using Loop.IApexDataSource to create a custom Apex Data Source. I have followed what documentation exists, and have been using the code examples linked in the documentation. I have tried several template configurations, but no matter what I use, the only fields that properly are populated on the printed out reports are Double fields (and currency). Strings and Dates are blank. I have tested my implementation in salesforce to gaurantee the data is properly being sent to DocGen, but no luck getting back the correctly populated report.Further, if the double has any decimal places, it will show as blank in the DocGen download, so to be more accurate, only whole number Double fields work.I have properly retrieved the data from our salesforce database and stored it as a string in the response to DocGen for the query result rows. Again number columns are working 100% correctly, but nothing else is. Again, I have followed the code examples included in the documentation and still have no l

Hello,We are looking to utilize the functionality to merge multiple DocGen Queue files into 1 PDF. After mass generating the DocGen files via report, we are running into the issue where the DocGen Queue list view is limiting the number of DocGen Queue records we can select to 200 records.This means that we are not able to join all of the files we intend to merge into one PDF document.Any insight into how we can bypass this issue would be of great help, thank you!

I would like to create an invoice where product lines are grouped and quantity and price are summed for the group.Let’s say I have 5 product line items on my opportunity. All line items are for the same “Event Ticket” product. An attribute on the product line item, Ticket Type, differentiates line items, such that I have 3 Student tickets and 2 Adult tickets.Product Ticket Type Qty Sales Price Total Price Event Ticket Student 1 $10 $10 Event Ticket Student 1 $10 $10 Event Ticket Student 1 $10 $10 Event Ticket Adult 1 $12 $12 Event Ticket Adult 1 $12 $12   On my invoice output, I want to see 2 line items with summing of quantity and Total Price at the group level and a Grant Total Price:Product Ticket Type Qty Sales Price Total Price Event Ticket Student 3 $10 $30 Event Ticket Adult 2 $12 $24       Grand Total Price $54  I do not want to see 5 line items listed out.I have successfully used Grouping

Thank you for the helpful information in However, I am trying to use a custom DS tag in tables where recipients replicate in the event there are multiples. Your advice of “Make sure to append {r} for multiple recipients. (i.e dl.SignHere.{r})” works well for a static number of recipients, but does not when they need to replicate. I am using a named range excel file for the connected data on the templates to accommodate the replication for the standard Nintex and DS tags that is working very well.  Or is it possible to add the custom tag to Recipient Sign Options so I can assign it to the different recipients that way? I was able to add the new value to the Sign Options, but it is not displaying in the “Available Sign Options” under the recipient.  

I followed this article’s (https://help.nintex.com/en-US/docgensf/DocGenMobile.htm) ‘Nintex DocGen for mobile users’ section to create a new Action button on a custom object with Loop:RunDdp Lightning Component. I have successfully created an action button, but I keep getting the following error when trying to generate documents using this new button, logged in as an external experience site user.Error creating attachment for (<custom object name>:<record Id) (insufficient_access_on_cross_reference_entity): You do not have the level of access necessary to perform the operation you requested. Please contact the owner of the record or your administrator if access is necessary. (ExternalError) Include this Error Id if you contact Nintex Support: 1f0c3e5e-6d6e-46e8-b0aa-290a4ff01b7e.   I do not get this error when generating the same document using a previously created URL button, logged in as the same experience site user. I’d like to filter a component group to display only when a field has content. Or, put another way, if the field specified in the filter is blank then I don’t want the component group to be pulled through on to the document.My specific use case is that I have a component group which is just a title or header of ‘Additional Terms’. If no additional terms have been specified on the opportunity then I don’t need the title for that blank field.I can see that there is a filter of ‘is blank’ and my instinct was to write ‘false’ in to the filter criteria thinking that would equate to “If this field is not blank then display this component group otherwise don’t”.But this doesn’t seem to work. I can’t find anything in the documentation about how to do this. Is there anyone who happens to know how to achieve this?Many thanks in advance for any help.
