you have to provide more details.

post a screenshot/content how does your request exactly looks like.

if you get a different error then that internal error (500) post the whole error message as well.

when i find the error report usl log it give me:

identify a correlation ID from that line and export all the lines with the same correlation ID from ULS logs to get more details on the error.

if you're not identify the problem out of that post the snippet here

Re: error in inserting user to group

Error returned from server: <soap:Fault xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><faultcode>soapSmiley Frustratederver</faultcode><faultstring>Server was unable to process request. ---> Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED
This is the workflow error

And the ULS log is
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:m="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/directory/"><soap:Header></soap:Header><soap:Body><m:Ad...>

Re: error in inserting user to group

Error returned from server

so you semm to have some permissions issue. either the user you configured to make a service call is not allowed to consume the service or s/he is not allowed to change group membership.

And the ULS log is

at first it doesn't look like as a ULS log entry, at second it seems to be stripped by the comminuty engine.

save ULS log snippets to a text file and upload it as attachment.

Re: error in inserting user to group

Hi please ensure the format of your XML in Risk Incident Contact is as follows:

<Users>
 <User LoginName="domain\user1"/>
 <User LoginName="domain\user2"/>
 <User LoginName="domain\user3"/>
</Users>

You may need a claims prefix (e.g. i:0#.w|domain\user1) so as a test use the GetUserCollectionFromGroup web service and target Risk Contact group to see how the usernames are returned.

Re: error in inserting user to group

Oh and one other thing, the AddUserCollectionToGroup will only accept a maximum of 100 users. If Risk Incident Contact contains 101 or more users then the action will fail.
