Get the workflow task "delegator" name ?

Jump to solution

Hello all ,

I have a case where I have workflow task assigned to group (and checked "Create individual tasks for all group members"  option)

some approves may have long term delegation , so I need to the approved name , and approved behalf of name to arrange in table as following  :

Task NameApproveroutcomecommenton behalf of
xyzMikeRejectedblah blah blahSandy

So how I get Sandy in the above example ? Sandy delegated Mike for this (using long term delegation )

Thanks

Hi Abid,

you can use an "Execute SQL" action to gather information about delegations. There are two tables in the database storing relevant information about delegations.

1. "Delegation" - Stores information about configured long term task delegations

2. "DelegationHistory" - Stores information about delegated task in the past

Maybe this thread gives you a start Get Long-Term Task Delegation for user

Regards

Philipp

Can you please tell me how to get the correct line for a specific task? Looks like I have to use the right ApproverID, but how can I get this?

I am able to get this by getting the details about the task itself where we have HumanWorkflow ID using which we can use SQL query and get the comment for that task only.

SELECT [DelegationHistoryID]
,[Username]
,[Delegate]
,[ApproverID]
,[DelegationDate]
,[Comment]
FROM [NameOfNintexWorkflowDatabaseUpdateThis].[dbo].[DelegationHistory]
where ApproverID = (select ApproverID from [NameOfNintexWorkflowDatabaseUpdateThis].[dbo].[HumanWorkflowApprovers] where HumanWorkflowID = 'IDFromTaskDetails')

Hope this help someone in future.
