I have created a approval workflow on a list item. I want to know the history of the workflow like who has approved when and comments, task outcomes etc for 10 years for audit purpose.
So can some one please confirm me how to maintain the audit log for 10 years.
If you using an approval task, then you don’t need the history to have an audit record of who approved an item. You will have the completed task, which is in a separate list. You can keep that for as long as you’d like.
Has there been a answer to this? We are experiencing the same issue with OTTB SharePoint Workflow history. We need approval audit trails on documents for up to two years and SharePoint Auto Clean Up job clears out workflow history after 60days.
