Excel middleware settings created in flash are not carried over to LEDD

Packages that were created using flash do not show the excel middleware settings in LEDD. It's not too convenient consideriring that flash will be not available from next year. That means we will lose the visibility to them on all packages unless we replicate all work done on excel middlewares in LEDD.Do you plan a quickfix for that? Or some sort of migration of the excel middleware settings to LEX?Thank you!

Reference record from one SOQL to another SOQL

I have multiple SOQL queries that need to reference the record in my main SOQL query (see attachment 'DocGen package SOQL Query').  ProductCatalog_New is my main query.  It pulls in all the data from the main record type.  For each main record, there can be one or more related records using a lookup relationship (Product Catalog Item to Product Catalog Item).  I have a SOQL query created for each related item that has additional fields that need to be pulled into the document (see attachment 'SAMPLE Implementation Form for CANDY STORE'; sections for ACH Blocks or Filters). How do I get the SOQL query for the related items to reference the record in the main SOQL query?  Right now, the queries are working, but they are putting the data for record ABC onto record XYZ.

Postal Code Field not working in Word

Hi,In creating my document template I've added Account Billing Street, City, State and they work fine, however PostalCode simply shows the field name as inserted in word - it doesn't populate the data.  We are using version 17.1 (trial),  and Salesforce with NPSP. Thanks for any help!

DocGen where creating a case is optional

I have a request to create a package where the end user will normally want to have a case created by the package.  However, there will be some instances when a case will not be needed.  Is there a simple way to suppress the creation of the case?   Thank you.

is there an attachment limit for a DocGen package?

We have a DocGen package that is not showing all of the attachments to choose from and include. Is there a limit on the # of attachments for a specific DocGen package?

Generating 3x10 mailing labels from unrelated opportunities

Hi, I'm trying to generate a document in Salesforce to print onto mailing labels. The labels come on standard size paper with 3 columns and 10 rows.  We send a letter to the Primary Contact of every Opportunity that's Closed Won. I can generate the letters just fine, but generating the labels is another story. I have 2 hurdles:Combining address fields from multiple unrelated Primary Contacts onto one document. Replication horizontally across columns. Can section replication work for this?I appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks,Keegan

Email Delivery on a custom Object

Hi,   I have setup a custom button for a custom object list view to mass generate documents for email delivery. I have setup a relationship between the custom object and the contact object but when i go to create the documents it is not finding the relationship and wont let me create the mass generation. Any idea where i am going wrong?   Thanks  Stephen

Error while trying to install the latest update 16.7

Hello,I'm a sys admin for my organization and I'm trying to install the latest version (16.7) of DocGen to my sandbox and I'm receiving the following message. Problem:1. (LOOP_Document_Services) Data Not AvailableYou do not have Edit access to one of the two records you are trying to merge. Please contact your administrator to get additional access or merge the two records Any ideas on how to get past this issue so that I can successfully install the update.  Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Creating Quote from Nintex then Adding pieces of Quote into Contract

We are currently using Nintex for Salesforce to create our customer quotes using Salesforce Products.  Our next step is to house our contracts within Salesforce and use Nintex to populate fields which I can handle but I need to be able to take part of the quote that Nintex already generated and insert it into a page of the contract.  Is this possible?  If yes, how would I go about this?     Notes:  The current quote is created in both PDF and Excel and the contract will be a word document.

Image Getting Cut off

Hi there, I wonder if anyone has faced this issue. We have images getting pulled in our report, however, the images seem to get cut from the bottom when the report is generated. We are utilizing dynamic image replacement on a word document. Although the image size on the output report is the same as the placement image on the template, however, it gets cut off from the bottom.Also in another case the image got flipped in the output report, could the image size be a reason for that?Can't figure why this is happening? How to get comma separated values by using a query, instead of in a table format (rows)?

In drawloop when you run a query or use tablestart, you get all the details in a list format. For e.g. if you use tablestart on opportunity products, the list is like below. Product 1 Product 2 Product 3   I want the list output to be comma separated, like this. Product 1, Product 2, Product 3

Possible to pass in a document dynamically at the time of document generation

We have a requirement to be able to pass in a previously generated document when a user clicks the Nintex DocGen button to generate a document. Effectively gathering the merge fields at the time the previous document was generated and adding on top of them to generate a new document.Example:Document is generated from Case Object in Salesforce 2 months go by On different case we need to pass the document that was generated in step 1 and complete the merge fields (generating a new document that has some of the values from Document 1)Is this possible with Nintex DocGen for Salesforce?

Can Nintex Auto-purge Documents from Salesforce Storage?

Does anyone know if there's a way to have Nintex purge files created by a Nintex package from Salesforce storage after a certain amount of time, post creation? I am currently dealing with a double storage issue in that the documents are being auto-imported into my external repository (Egnyte) but the original created by the Nintex package is staying in Salesforce. Ideally, I'd like for this original to get purged, maybe five minutes after creation, to give Egnyte enough time to import. I've looked at the delivery options in Nintex and did not see Egnyte listed as an available option, nor would I probably want to go that route as the Egnyte/SFDC integration already has the destination folder paths set for document delivery to that repository.

Please Extend FTP Functionality

Extend FTP FunctionalityDoc Gen looks like it works great if you have BOX for Cloud Storage.  If you have another provider like I do (Egnyte), there does not seem to be any plug and play way to setup content delivery in a structured way.  The only available option is to setup FTP under 3rd party integrations. Unfortunately, this only gives you the ability to statically deliver to one location.  Given Doc Gen's capabilities, this should be simple to setup folder structures based on variables, etc.

Dynamically pull data from excel based on unique field

Hi All,I am trying to pull data dynamically into my word docgen template from an external spreadsheet (static) based on unique Account Number field. The Account N.o field is on my opportunity object which i have tagged my template (Opportunity_AccountNo). Now there is also a second piece of data in an external spreadsheet from which i need to pull column B (permitted use) based on the above account number which is column A of spread sheet (Account Number). Excel Middleware filter syntax

Hi All,I am trying to pull data into my DDP (word template) conditionally based on Account number from an excel sheet. If an Account number (column A) in the spreadsheet matches with the one on Opportunity record then it should pull that row only. Would like to have macro support in Doc Gen for Salesforce

This is a feature request.  It would be really a great feature for doc gen to work with macro-enabled Word Docs.  Right now when you try and run a DDP over a macro saved Word Doc in Salesforce, all you get is a doc full of Drawloop tags.  No data.

Replicate related record data in same row

Hi All,I am trying to replicate related records in same row rather than creating new rows for each line item.We have 5 Opportunity related objects (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and each child object has few records. I am trying to group record names by child object in one row.I have attached a screen shot for better understanding.The 'Day' column indicates child objects and Stall number indicates a record field in the object.Is it possible to get all stall numbers for each day in one row?Like belowTuesday: A13, B13Thursday: A13, A14, I55, K99etc. Thanks.Abu

Replicate Product Name by Quantity in Excel

I need the ability to show product line items (Opportunity Products) line by line in excel.For example, the product is called ABC123 and has quantity 5 selected on SF. I want that to show like this in excel:  Product Another attribute Another attribute ABC123     ABC123     ABC123     ABC123     ABC123      Is this possible? The reason I need this is because each product has a set of attributes and need to be passed on to a third party to add names of personal to it etc.

Salesforce Files Versions instead of creating new file everytime

Is it possible to create multiple versions for the same file instead of creating new salesforce file on every docgen package run on the same record?   For ex: Let's say I have a record XYZ-0001 on which the user ran docgen package and a file "XYZ-0001" is created in Salesforce Files. Now, there's some data issue in that record that was identified and the user has corrected the data, ran the docgen package again on the same record. Now, instead of creating one more XYZ-0001 file, is it possible to create a version 2 of the already existing file?

NWC and Salesforce - Rename an attachment from SF without removing file type extension?

Hello All, I have a component workflow where users complete a task form and attach files to the form. Then those files are added to a record in Salesforce. After the files are attached to the record, we also use the Nintex Workflow to rename the files. However, doing so removes the file extension in Salesforce. The file attachment on the form can be several different types, including .png, .pdf, .xlsx, .docx... Is there a way to identify the file type extension of these files attached to the form task, so that I may use that in the workflow? Example: User completes the form and attaches File.docx and File2.xlsx. They are added to Salesforce record.Workflow renames to Payroll Document 1 and Payroll Document 2. This loses the file type extension in Salesforce.Would like to rename to Payroll Document 1.docx and Payroll Document 2.xlsx. Thanks in advance for any help!
