"RPA Chromium Extension is disabled" error when targeting Chrome

When attempting to target anything within a Chrome window, I am presented with the same pop-up that you receive when the RPA extension isn't installed.  I have attempted to remove and re-install the extension (followed by restarts of RPA and Chrome) but that doesnt seem to solve anything.

This was previously working OK the last time I did any authoring work (maybe November?)

Any tips / tricks to fixing this?

Windows Server 2016 Datacenter / current patches

RPA v 16.5.5

Chrome v 88.0.4324.104

RPA Chrome Extension v 1.0.0.13

Not sure if the extension no longer works with older versions or what, but I upgraded RPA central and Bot and things seem to be OK now.

I'm all for staying current and everything, but wow, I was only a few months behind on releases...
