We are using Nintex Workflow 2013.
I've created a new task list with some additional columns.
How would I populate those columns with Current Item Data (can be stored in a variable) after the task has been assigned?
For example. I have a column named Company which is a select box in the Document Library.
How do I have a column named Company populated on the Task list so that the assigned user can see which company the document is for?
Will you be able to create a workflow on Workflow Tasks list?
If so, create a workflow and mention start type as Item Create. By this, the workflow will run whenever a new task has been added here.
Inside the workflow use Update Item action to update your custom column of Workflow Tasks list, where you need to get the Company column data from your list. For this we do have 2 columns on Workflow Tasks list: Workflow Item ID, Workflow List ID.
As from all lists in the site are using single Tasks list by default, first check the list ID of your source list then you can filter the ID to compare it with Workflow Item ID to get the Company column.
