We; of course, want to have error messages logged. The problem is that most users have no idea of what these things mean. For example, if a workflow is running on a document and that document is deleted the user would have no idea of what the workflow engine was bellowing about and might be overly concerned.
Any suggestion to how we can shield average users from Workflow Internals? Are they any specific errors or classes of errors that can be suppressed?

In your site, go to Site Settings > Workflow Management > Workflow Error Notifications.
You can select the option as No to send error notifications to the workflow initiators. You can add your name to the box below to receive the notifications. Hope that helps.
