How to submit a Nintex form fields to a Sharepoint Library's columns?

Jump to solution

How do I create a Nintex Form with the capability to Submit to a Document Library - not just create a document on the Document Library, but also pull the fields on the form to the columns on the Document Libary?

For example,

If a form has these fields:

Name: Alex

Department: HR

Phone: 503-123-4567

Is there a way to make a button to submit or create a rule for the button to send it to a Document Library's fields? The Document Library's fields would then populate with the same information as above:

Name: Alex

Department: HR

Phone: 503-123-4567

Thank you for any tips you may have!

Does your Document Library have these columns created ?

If so, I think you just have to connect your form fields to corresponding SharePoint colums.

Thomas is correct, you just need to have the controls on the form connected to the fields, you can do this in the settings of the controls. If you have the content type fields, or list fields already added to the list or library, then create the Nintex Form, the designer will automatically create these controls for you and be pre-connected. So to create the first form you will just have to say new form and publish without any changes made at all. But of course you will customize it from there.
