How to save disabled field value in list using Nintex form

Hello,

I am using Nintex form as Item form of List .(Nintex Forms 2013 ( 2.6.0.0 ) version)

I have disabled multiline textbox in form. When I save item, this value is not reflected in list.

How can I store disabled multiline textbox value to list ?

Re: How to save disabled field value in list using Nintex form

Avani,

Do you have the multiline textbox "Connected to" a List Column? If you don't have it connected to a List coumn, it's not going to store it in the list.

Re: How to save disabled field value in list using Nintex form

Hello Mark,

Yes, I have "connected to" set as multi line column in List. But in Advanced section, Control mode is set as "Display". If I make it as "Auto" then value is reflected in List.

But as per my requirement, I need to make it Display only (read only).

Any solution to this ?

Thanks,

Avani

Re: How to save disabled field value in list using Nintex form

Hi,
Data for this field is coming from Query string. I want to set this value as it is in List without editing.

As default value works but when field is not connected then only this option is visible.

So I tried with setting as "Null Display text".

Now, If I don't edit this field and save as it is then value is not reflected whether it is in 'auto' control mode.

Any Help with this ?

Thanks,

Avani

Re: How to save disabled field value in list using Nintex form

Avani,

According to the help on this, see below:

I can get this to work using a parameter fed into a single text field. Realistically, I don't know that you would want to be supplying a long multi line text in an URL  parameter anyway - so this is probably by design.

In order to have the single line show, but not be editable, but still populate the list column, you need to leave the Control Mode at Auto and create a Form Rule and apply it to the Textbox control like below:

Cheers,

Mark
