Change the position of error message in Nintex Forms

Jump to solution

Hi,

I have made a Nintex form and applied few validation rules in it. Now the issue is that the validation messages are appearing on the top of the form. But I want to show the error message at the side of the text box which has wrong value. Can I replace the error message at the bottom? If yes then how? If not then what are my alternatives?

Thanks

Ratnesh

Hi,

I don't know if it could correspond but let's try this CSS rules (add it to the "Custom CSS" section in the form settings):

@keyframes fadeIn { from {opacity: 0;} to {opacity: 1;}}

.nf-validation-summary

{

  position: fixed;

  z-index : 1000;

  top: 150px;

  width: 280px;

  left: 15px;

  background-color: white;

  border: 2px solid red;

  border-radius:3px;

  box-shadow: 3px 3px 3px 3px rgba(50, 50, 50, 0.6);

  animation: fadeIn 1s;

  margin-top : 20px;

}

Hi Ratnesh,

Here is a reference, in addition to what Pierre has mentioned: tip: how to move validation error messages from top of page

Hey ‌, when I implement this, it always shows, even when empty. So as soon as I open the form, there's an empty red-outlined box in the left margin; how do I have this only appear when the validation occurs and only if there is something to validate?

Hi Courtney,

I just tested it again (verify there's no change with new Nintex Forms releases) and it works well.

I'm on 2013 On Premise environment. Is it the same for you?
