Opening attachments with Nintex Form

I noticed a difference with the way attachments open on a SharePoint list versus a Nintex Form.  I'm hoping someone else has noticed this and has a workaround.

SharePoint List

1. Enter a new item on the list, add an attachment (Word doc) and click Save
2. View that item and click on attachment
3. File opens in Microsoft Word Web App

Nintex Form

1. Enter a new item on the list, add an attachment (Word doc) and click Save
2. View that item and click on attachment
3. Attachment downloads and then opens in the client application

No changes have been made to the settings of the list other than customizing it with a Nintex Form.  Our users are used to files opening in the browser and it's a little inconvenient to download and open in the client.  Any suggestions/feedback is greatly appreciated!

I have tested in both Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Hello, I found an elaborate work around in this post Office 365 Attachments Open in Online Apps.

I am, however, hoping there is a more simple solution or one that can be done via Java script.  Any other ideas?
