Favicon in K2 SmartForms is trigerring 401 unauthorized error

When Smartform loads in our K2 Black pearl server. we are receiving http 401 error for favicon.ico file load  and it is taking 105 ms of load time. How do we resolve this issue. I have full permissions on K2 standalone farm and db.

    Hi cingeme1,


     


    Can you try on the following below:
    1. Add the favicon.ico to the location that your K2 IIS sites are point to. (Ex. C:inetpubSmartForms, C:inetpubK2 blackpearl)
    2. Temporarily Enable the authentication on the K2 or SmartForm site for Forms Authentication and Anonymous Authentication.
    3. Restart the K2 service and do an iisreset. Test the forms and the favicon error should be gone.
    4. Disable the authentication that you enabled in Step 2 and restart the K2 service again and do an iisreset.
