This should be simple but I just cannot see it.
I have a column in a list with lots of items which I need to find the total of and email it off to someone.
Query list - Store the results in a collection variable called 'collect'
Log in history list ( to ensure I am getting each seprate value i require, which I am)
For Each action -
Target collection is 'collect'
Store results in - VAT (number variable)
In the for each action place a math operation nested in it.......this is where I am stuck, I just want all the numbers in the collection variable to add up, the math operation wants me to add one value to another value
Solved! Go to Solution.
The "For Each" will allow you to use this collection 'Collect' the single valve item it then pulls out for each loop is store3d into VAT.. In side the loop, add maths action.. Create a new variable (number) lets call it 'total'
In the Loop use VAT + Total and then store into the 'Total' variable.
The first loop will be VAT (value) + 0 = Total (Which will be the first VAT value)
second time around, it will be the second value from the collection plus the total and so on and so on..
Perfectly explained for those with a reading learning style. For those with more visual learning styles, screen shots of the icons in place are infinitely more helpful. If anyone has the time, this would be a great add to this discussion.
