Hi All,

I used to use Skuid about 3 years ago, so I am familiar with the product, but unsure if this is possible today.

Is it possible to launch a Screen Flow from a Skuid Action button?

And if so, is there any documentation about this anywhere that you can link me to?

Thanks,

Paul

Welcome back to Skuid! Hope things are too different than you knew them three years ago.

We provide declarative access to a lot of Salesforce functionality via “data source Actions” Find an Action Trigger (like a button) and in the list of actions choose “data source actions”. Then choose your Salesforce org and a pretty long list of possible actions will appear. In the “Custom” category - you will find “FLOW” and I’m pretty sure you will be able to invoke any of the flows you have defined for the org, and pass data into them according to your spec.

See this image of the action definition - highlighting the Flow area.

Hi @Rob_Hatch ,

Thanks very much for the reply. It is exactly what I was hoping to find out (Great Success! 😂)

I had also tried launching the flow from a URL (which does indeed work), but this is obviously the better approach to take with the solution.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Im testing using data source action to trigger a flow. I’ve added a button to the skuid page and created the action to run data source action and action being flow. The issue is that the flow I created to test with is not showing in the drop down with the other flows. Are there specific types of flows that will not show up in the list or do I need to do something to get the list of flows to display? I created the flow after I created the button. i refreshed and closed and reopen the page a number of time. Hope you can help.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Here are a few ideas.

  1. The flow has to be Active.

  2. It has to be of type “Autolaunched Flow”
