Topic

There is a daily license check by RPAC that occurs anywhere from 12am to 4am local RPAC time.  RPA Central will try to reach the RPA License server to validate that license is active.  If this license check fails, RPAC will disable itself and may not operate properly.

You will likely find that RPA Central is in a failed state with botflows in a queued state and usually the only way to change this is to reboot the machines. When the machine is restarted, RPA Central does not check the license against the License Server a second time.  Instead, it will only validate that the license was previously activated LOCALLY on that machine.  Since it is already activated, RPAC will continue working until the actual License Check happens against the License Server sometime between 12am and 4am local RPAC time.

Instructions

Use the command prompt to ping wus-api-rpa.nintex.io to see if you can reach the RPA License Server. It could be that you can no longer reach the License Server, for another reason.

If the ping is successful, check that there is nothing blocking the RPA Central License Server check between midnight and 4 am local RPAC time.

If the ping fails, check the firewall and security certificate for changes, using these help documents: https://help.nintex.com/en-US/rpa/Central/Preinstallationchecklist.htm#Review_the_pre-installation_checklist

For more help with troubleshooting connection issues, collect your RPA Central logs located at:
c:\ProgramData\RPA Central\logfiles and send an email to Support@nintex.com with the log for the days this issue occurred and any appropriate detail. We will interpret the logs for you and provide next steps.
