Gather Logs - Seq

In most cases, the Nintex RPA Support Team will require the logs gathered from the Seq log platform in order to get to a better understanding of the root cause of an issue. A best practice is to provide them when creating the ticket, this way one communication interaction will be skipped and lead to a faster case resolution.

 

Instructions 

In order to access the Seq application, open a browser on the application server’s machine or the dedicated Seq server (depending on your environment) and type in the FQDN followed by /seq.
 

NOTE:
In some installations, typing in the address bar, can also take you to the destination.

 




When you have accessed the Seq application, follow the steps below:



You will be prompted with the following message:



You can open the file in the saved directory as shown below:



If the file size is too big, open the directory, right click on the file, and select the Send to option and the Compressed (zipped) folder:



This usually condenses the file size from ~1GB to ~10MB.

Send the file as advised by the Support Engineer. If a file request link is needed to send file, please ask your Support Engineer.
