How to change a Process Owner or Expert for a Process



Update the Process directly:
  1. Navigate to the Edit tab of the Process
  2. Change to the Summary section
  3. Update the Process Owner or Expert
  4. Save & Publish the Process
Use the User panel global replace:
  1. Navigate to Admin > Users
  2. Edit the existing Process Owner or Expert
  3. Select the Transfer option in the Ownerships and Rights section
  4. Tick the Processes you wish to transfer
  5. Select the user to transfer this Ownership to
  6. Select Transfer


Additional Information

NOTE: There is a little triangle next to the process that states There are unpublished changes which will be published if the ownership is transferred.

This is a useful guide and the transfer was easy to make. However, there is a problem when the new Expert in my case goes to edit the process. There is an error that says "you don't have the rights to edit this process. Please contact the process owners." This same person is showing as the Process Expert that is being given this error.
