For the first time, I am using a Signature form control to capture a signature, which I then want to place on a generated PDF document.

I’ve done it successfully, but with one problem: the signature image on the generated document is much too large.

I was looking at this thread, where @cecilia-penha says, “If you need to control the size of the image in the template, use a picture and name it using the tag otherwise you can directly use the tag.”

But I don’t understand what this means, “use a picture and name it using the tag.” Use a picture how? What exactly am I supposed to do?

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi @DavidAD

The basic methodology on this is to put a picture into the document that is the size you’d like the picture to be added as.  After that select the Picture format>Selection Pane in the ribbon.  Should look like this:

Then in the Selection pane you should see the Selection Pane with a name for the picture:

If you Rename the name (Picture 2 above) to the tag from the document tagger you should get the image in the document sized to fit the picture in the template.

Thanks, @brent_read! It was that second part, using the Selection pane, that I would never have guessed. But I’ve tried it and it works. Kudos!
