“Manage Workflows with Nintex Workflow” option in Workflow Settings menu is missing

Issue

In a list or library menu ribbon the “Manage Workflows with Nintex Workflow” option in the Workflow Settings is missing.

This occurs when Nintex Workflow features are not activated at the site / site collection level.

 

Resolution

Please follow the steps listed below to activate the Nintex Workflow features on the site and site collection level.

To activate Nintex Workflow in a site collection

  1. Click the settings icon on the upper right and then select Site settings to display the Site Settings page.
  2. Under Site Collection Administration , click Site collection features.
  3. To the right of Nintex Workflow 2016, click Activate.

    After a short delay, the page updates and the status becomes Active.

    The feature is now available for activation on sites within this site collection.

To activate Nintex Workflow in a site

  1. Ensure that Nintex Workflow is activated at the site collection level (previous procedure).

    The feature cannot be activated on sites until it is activated on the parent site collection.

  2. Click the settings icon on the upper right and then select Site settings to display the Site Settings page.
  3. Under Site Actions , click Manage site features.
  4. To the right of Nintex Workflow 2016, click Activate.

    After a short delay, the page updates and the status becomes Active.

    Nintex Workflow can now be used within this site.
