I have a person/group column in the list. but when i try to send email in the notification and display the name of the person. It show the ID instead of the name of the person despite i already configure to display the column in name in sharepoint listing column setting

To insert the Name (Display Name), you need to select the correct return type.
Just click the “orange icon” and select the correct return type - Display Name.

Thanks for the quick response. May i know where can i find this advanced lookup? is this available on the 365 sharepoint? 

I happened to come across this on the forum and it address my requirement also 

 

 

You set the label to - Nintex for Office 365.
Its available in the Send Email action (including To field and Email Body Message)

 

I have a strong feeling that you are using the Nintex for SharePoint platform (which I am unfamiliar with).

This is indeed Nintex for Sharepoint. Try this button, you should be able to select Display name under there:
