Nintex form displays ID instead of value. I see the value when I preview as well as when I fill out the form. However, in the form, it shows up as an id. I found the same question asked but the solution provided is a short cut. I wanted to understand why it happened and how to fix it. Thank you.

please check if your lookup field configuration on the list is set to display ex. Title not ID.

Thank you. It is set up to show Awards, which is text.
The control on a form is set to display a dropdown based on a lookup field "Awards". What I am asking is to check how the lookup field in SharePoint is configured.
Thank you so much. I removed ID connected to and add the field to Text connected to. It works.
