The version history of a multi line text box enabled to append changes displays nothing on the Nintex form. Versioning is also enabled all default control settings are used.

Currently it is not supported in O365 Nintex Forms. I recommend voting for it in the user voice for it to be under review. Support lists with versioning turned on and where "Append Changes to Existing Text" is set to "Yes." – Customer Feedback…
yes it does. but it does not on the nintex form. not sure what additional steps to carry out to display them.
