I have a more general how-to question. I have a SharePoint list that has a generated title of "Site-Year-ID". We need a way to respond to that list item and have the response generated be titled "Site-Year-ID.1". The response to that one would be "Site-Year-ID.2" etc. I'm at a loss as to how to accomplish this.

Hi,

Please provide more information about what it is you are wanting to do.
Like what you mean by responding to a list item?
Some mockup screen shots might help as well.

We are basically creating a transmittal process. A person from my company will create a list item. There is a workflow that sends an email to the other person to let them know that there has been an item created for them. If a response is required, somehow there should be another item created that sends an email back to the original person. We want those two list items to have a similar name so that they can easily be identified.

There are other requirements such as docgen, removing permissions, naming, etc. but I think those have been pretty easy to handle.

It's kind of hard to explain, so I hope this makes sense.
