This is a screenshot of part of my workflow. I get an email for a pending for approval at the start of the task process but after approving the workflow doesn’t work to send that last email to notify that the form has been approved. Is it the variables that I set under approval that doesn’t make this work or is the “start a task process” action itself that is not working? I’m very new at this.

If you receive an email for the task approval, your start a task process action is behaving as expected.
If you approve the task and the email is not being sent, there may be an issue with the Send an Email action configuration.
Another cause may be Exchange blocking the email or the email is ending up in the spam folder.
Check the Exchange log files to see if the email you are sending was received for the user you are sending it to.
