Hi All,

What was easy with Nintex on-prem and in PowerPlatform is proving to be difficult in the new platfom.

SharePoint Online Document Library - check in a document to Major Version ((Publish) to triger NAC review/approval flow.

NAC flow start event on SP update list item - works with no condition. Start event will not fire using a condition on the default field “Approval Status” (it’s in the pick list) of “Pending” (and have tried using “2” which is in the trigger event JSON)

Anyone else encountered this? or have a workaround?

TIA

Rob

Thanks Wouter,

Turns out it was how/what SharePoint recognises as an “updated” document to trigger the update event. Checking out and checking back in DOES NOT trigger an update event - that was my problem. The file or it’s metadata must be modified in order to create a “dirty record” update on check-in and fire the update event - then Nintex gets the trigger and we’re off…

So the problem was me, I should have known better…

Cheers
Rob

I think a condition on the workflow like this will work for you:

where it is maybe important to set the library settings:
