A user/developer sometimes has to update/add destination rules to a project but may not have access to the Active Directory. It is possible to run the K2.net 2003 Studio under another user’s credentials and gain access to the Active Directory via this user’s permissions.
| K2.net 2003 Studio makes use of Integrated Windows Authentication. For a user to setup destination rules and queues, he needs to have access privileges to the Active Directory. It is possible to run the K2.net 2003 Studio under another user’s credentials and gain access to the Active Directory via this user’s permissions. Follow these steps when requiring K2.net 2003 Studio to run under another user’s credentials: | |
| 1. | Hover to the Start | All Programs | K2.net 2003 menu sequence. |
| 2. | Right-click on the “K2.net 2003 Studio” item. |
| 3. | Select "Run as..." from the context menu. |
| 4. | Tick the "The following user:" radio-button. |
| 5. | Supply a valid domain account and password. |
| 6. | The K2.net 2003 Studio will run under this user’s credentials for this session and will have access to the Active Directory using this user’s permissions. |
