Dear all,

I was able to create an API User in account.assuresign.com but the API User cannot be used at ca1.assuresign.com. I spent a lot time to figure this out.

However, it seems we cannot create the API Users in ca1.assuresign.com. I loggged in ca1.assuresign.com as an administrator with my regular email. I then tried to create a new user, but it failed with this message:

Error

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties and were unable to complete the requested action. Technical support has been notified and will investigate this problem shortly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Error Code: VTP33

This may be unstandable, but I cannot find we can create an API user at ca1.assuresing.com. Could you share some lights here.

Thanks,
Don

Hi Don,

This one might be easier to troubleshoot via our support desk so we can look closer at the exact user and environments.

For background information, API users are always created at account.assuresign.net, which is the identity service that supports CA1 and other regions. When creating an API User, you can grant it access to CA1 by ensuring CA1 is included in its “scope” parameter, and then make authentication API calls with that api user to retrieve a token to allow you to carry out subsequent API calls to CA1.

You described trying to creating an API user in CA1, but there might be a misunderstanding because the system works by granting access to CA1 rather than creating it in CA1. Feel free to provide more information here or open a support request to dive in deeper.

regards

James

Thanks James,

Yes, this worked: in Create API User at https://account.assuresign.net/#/users/api, select API User Scope=API User Environment, and then I was able to see and select https://ca1.assuresign.net.
