Entering field tag into cell range in Excel 2016

Per the instructions in your documentation for Conditional text in Microsoft PowerPoint, I am trying to enter the field tag into the cell range, but I am receiving the following error: "You must enter a valid reference you want to go to, or type a valid name for the selection."  Am I doing something wrong?  Please see attached screenshots.  I am using Excel 2016.

Hi Kristine Curington‌,

The screenshot with the tag inside the excel range is actually a word tag <<word>>
Go to the Field Tagger in the DDP and on the top right hand side select Excel. For more information click here

Thank You!!Sophie Timu‌ I knew I was missing something obvious!  It would help if that little reminder was added to the documentation for adding conditional text to PowerPoint.
