An error occurred loading a configuration file when creating or deploying a package

Problem

The following error is thrown when trying to create or deploy a package:

'An error occurred loading a configuration file: Unable to open file C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\K2SnapIn_66F0ED40\55DCEF.config,'

Solution

Please ensure the following:

- K2SnapIn_66F0ED40 folder exist in C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local, where {username} is the user you are using to run the Package and Deployment tool.

- Make sure the K2SnapIn_66F0ED40 folder is not hidden
