You can use a calculated field to replicate the value of another control such as a text box. In the formula of the calculated control you'd drop a reference to the Named Control of the text box. So whatever you typed in text box would auto appear in the calculated field.
Yes please me too. I simply want to say "Field 1" = "Field 2". I am using Nintex forms and I have a calculated field called "calcContactName". I would like the value of "calcContactName" to be the default value of another field called "Assigned To" (which is a people picker control). If I have to push the "calcContactName" value into another field as a text value and then have the people picker reference that one, I'd be okay with that. I am very new to formulas and don't know how to accomplish this.
Could you display the formula you are currently using in the calculated field? Usually the calculated field would pull the value from the people picker as opposed to pushing the value to it. There may be other ways do it depending on what you are attempting.
Thank you for your response. We finally got it to work. My coworker was able to accomplish it finally with some java script.
