Is it possible to "unpublish" a process?  If so, how?  If not, why?

Hi @CraigMotichko ,

There's no "un-publish" action. The first time you publish the version 1.0 is viewable to users and remain as-is until you re-published another version. After the first publishing, the restore action is only available from previous published versions. The restore action from previous draft versions is only possible before the first publishing.

If you need to "un-published", I would recommend to copy the process as it will be set as draft so it's not viewable to users and archive the published version. Another option is to move the process to a process group where only you or the editors can view it and continue to edit it. It can be a temporally process group.

In the meantime, you can add the idea/need to Nintex Uservoice as @rhia suggested.

Let me know if it helps. ^^

Hi there,

I don't believe there is any way to select a button to un-publish a process, but there is a way to bring back a previously published version of the process over top - which would only help if this wasn't the first time it was published.

https://help.nintex.com/en-us/promapp/Processes/ArchiveProcess.htm#Restoreaprocessversion

I think the idea of an un-publish button to revert to a draft version is a good one. I don't see a similar idea in the forum, if you'd like to add it: https://nintex.uservoice.com/forums/919189-7-nintex-promapp?query=publish

You can also make a change to the process, maybe put a period or something minor. Save it

It will then revert to draft and has to be re-published.

It won’t be seen by everyone because it is in draft.
