Dear all,

This topic just so that you know there is a UserVoice open for voting to make it so WF variables can be cononected to fields in task forms so that to remove the tedious task of setting all default values and retrieving all potentially edited fields after each task by having form controls assiociated with a WF variable : https://ideas.nintex.com/ideas/CNV-I-156

Would save us developpers precious minutes that add up to hours and days.

Hmm, I see workflow variables already showing in designer to create task forms?

So functionality wise, you just need them editable the way they are already set up? We have asked for this in the past as well for SharePoint connector objects. It would save alot of time if we could just turn a control to NO for read only and they just default to read only YES.

With variables though, they’d have to find a way to update the variable if edited when in edit mode of a task form. With sharepoint they won’t be able to do this logic since it’s third party application. User would still have to update items in workflow designer after task has been completed.

But it would definitively be a start with making data easier to manage and edit by a user.
