Set Workflow Status Upgrade

Scenario

This How To article describes the steps needed to upgrade a Nintex for Office 365 Set Workflow Status action to Nintex Workflow Cloud.
 

After Upgrade

Any upgraded Set Workflow Status actions must be configured.
 

Differences

The Nintex for Office 365 Set Workflow Status action is not available in Nintex Workflow Cloud and are converted to SharePoint Online Update Items actions.
 

Adjustments

• Add a hyperlink column to your SharePoint Online list

• Create a new text variable to contain your Nintex Workflow Cloud tenant URL

• Add a Create a Text String action to your workflow to build the complete URL for the workflow instance and store the results in a new text variable

• Configure any upgraded Set Workflow Status actions:

  • Set the connection

  • Add the SharePoint Online site URL

  • Select your list

  • Select the newly-added hypertext column

  • Add variables to populate the hypertext colum, making sure to separate by a single comma

  • Use the Condition Builder to add a new condition to the action to ensure it only updates the current item and not every item on the list
