Introduction
KB000350 updates all K2 blackpearl 0807 version 4.8210.1.x and 4.8210.2.0 installations with latest product patches and hotfixes, as detailed below. The installer will update K2 blackpearl 0807 32-bit and 64-bit installations.
 | Note: The update installer was built using a new mapping method which reduces the size of the msi components. As a result the install package is smaller. |
Enhancements
Two live process instance management options were added to the Goto Activity button in the K2 Management Console > Workflow Server > Processes > Instances menu in K2 Workspace.

- A process manager is now able to use the Goto Activity button in K2 Workspace on processes that are in Error status. The Goto Activity option will now re-start the process instance and go to the activity specified.
- A process manager is now able to use the Goto Activity button in K2 Workspace on processes that are in Stopped status. The Goto Activity option will then re-start the process instance and go to the activity specified.
| Note: There is a known issue when using the Goto Activity function in process instance management on an IPC event that is in Error status. See KB000353 - Known Issue: Goto Activity issue with an IPC process in error for further information. |

- KB000315 - Hotfix: Class Not Registered error displays when activating the K2 Web Designer
- KB000332 - Hotfix: An AD User name that is longer than 25 characters cannot be found using the K2 Workspace Search feature
- KB000333 - Hotfix: The Licensing page within License Management displays incorrect License types
- KB000334 - Hotfix: The K2 Server is unable to retrieve users from groups when multiple group names contain the '@' character
- KB000335 - Hotfix: Changes to SmartBox Properties of a SmartObject are not saved
- KB000336 - Hotfix: Using a Yes/No filter on the GetList method in MOSS does not return a True value
- KB000337 - Hotfix: Placing Workspace Landing page under high loads causes InvalidOperationException and then ObjectDisposedException

Installation
K2 blackpearl 0807 Update (4.8210.2.350) is available as an independent installation package which can be found here: https://portal.k2.com/downloads/bp/default.aspx.
The K2 blackpearl 0807 Update (4.8210.2.350) installation package must be installed by running the K2 Update Manager (K2Setup.exe) found within the update package. To install this package, follow the steps below:

| Note: This update package should be installed on all machines that have one or more of the following components installed: K2 Server, K2 Designer for Visual Studio, K2 Designer for Visio, K2 for SharePoint, K2 for Reporting Services , and K2 Workspace. This update should be installed on machines running K2 blackpearl 0807 4.8210.1.x or 4.8210.2.0 |
To install this package, follow the steps below:
- Welcome Screen
The Welcome Screen introduces the K2 blackpearl Update Manager. An installation log will be created by default. Click Next to continue.
- Components to Update
The Components to Update page lists the K2 Components that the update manager will update. Click Update to continue.
- K2 blackpearl Server
The K2 blackpearl Server must be stopped for the duration of the patch. If the server is running a warning screen will appear requesting that the K2 blackpearl server be stopped.
- Reset IIS
The K2 blackpearl Update Manager will request and perform a reset of IIS.
- Ready
The K2 blackpearl Update Manager will install the update, and will show the progress of the update via the progress bars on the screen.
- Finished
Once the update has completed installing, the wizard will show you the finished screen. A link to the log file that is created is available on this screen. Click Finish to close the installer.
After the K2 blackpearl Update Manager finishes, the K2 Configuration Manager will run.
Confirm Installation
To ensure that K2 blackpearl 0807 Update (4.8210.2.350) has installed correctly, follow these steps:
- Open Add/Remove Programs
- Check "Show updates"
- The installed K2 components and the relevant version number will be displayed
