Resolution

This is fixed in Appit 1.5 Update 3.

The K2 Pages live on the site collection. When K2 ships a new app and there are changes to the K2 Pages, these changes will only reflect once you activate the site again. During this process, the pages on the target site will be updated.

Running the activation from the Site collection will force a reactivation. If done from the App Catalog, you will have to use the “Activate All” button to force a reactivation.
