Code Fix: Unable to register Endpoint Web Service

Issue Description

An error occurs when you attempt to register an Endpoint Web Service with the “Store Service Metadata” option set to True.

Error Message

The following error message occurs: “An error occurred in the EndpointsWebService Service Instance. System.InvalidOperationException: There was an error generating the XML document. ---> System.InvalidOperationException: There was an error generating the XML document. ---> System.NotSupportedException: This XmlWriter does not support base64 encoded data”.

Resolution

  1. Ensure you have K2 Five (5.3) installed.
  2. Download the K2 Five (5.3) FP6 from K2 Partner and Customer Portal.
  3. Install the K2 Five (5.3) FP6 to apply the fix.
