Issue

After restoring a database the following error type appears:

The SmartObject or one of its components could not be resolved. Error Details: Root element is missing.

Symptoms

The errors appear due to a conflict on the SQL table and the SmartObjects.

Resolution

To resolve this, it's possible to:

1. Manually try and update GUIDs with the SmartObject tester.

or

2. Go into the SQL tables and run a script.

If the issue happens after a restoration, it's faster to restore the database again and rerun the setup.
