K2 Installation Health Error

This error is quite self explanatory. This means there is something wrong with your NLB. Your workspace cannot reach your K2 server to perform the requested operation. Your NLB may not be routing request properly to your K2 server.

Usually for such an error, we try to take NLB out of the picture to determine if this error is caused by the NLB. One way to do this is to change your host file to map the NLB host name to the IP address of one of your K2 server. That should force all traffic to go directly to the K2 server, instead of the NLB.

On the server that is hosting your workspace, try updating your host file, so that your NLB host name is mapped to the IP address of one of your K2 server. After that, do a ping test on your NLB host name, and make sure the IP address shown is pointing to your K2 server. After that, try opening K2 workspace, and check if you are still getting this error. If you are still getting this error, then chances are there is something wrong with your K2 server. Check if your K2 blackpearl service is up and running.

If you do not get this error after modifying the host file, then it is likely your NLB is not working properly.

I was able to resolve the 2nd error..."when browsing the K2 Workspace on each server, when we try to get the worklist, theres an error:

"Unable to connect to <NLB Address> on port 5252. A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond." 

This was happening because the request came from inside the balanced network. It was sent from a balanced server to the NLB and it was discarted. 

Activating the NAT protocol on the NLB to port 5252 resolved the issue.

Now the other issue "At the end of configuration analysis all bullets get the green "OK" but in the end theres a K2 Installation Health Error on each server in the farm:

10.20.9.80 is the farm ip address. We don't have Sharepoint. We don't have SmartForms. Can't get pass this problem. Can anyone help? 

Regarding the HOSTS file debuging...we changed the host file to map the NLB host name to the IP address of one of your K2 server but that did not work. It still tries to connect to 10.20.9.80.

Controlutil is a tool used to register SmartForms control. The tool will require connection to your K2 server, and your K2 blackpearl service must be running. Is this IP address (10.20.9.80) pointing to your K2 server? Or is that the address to your NLB?

10.20.9.80 is the NLB's IP but  I don´t understand why there is an error.

If I do a telnet to 10.20.9.80:5555, it works.

Also, as I said, we solved the workspace worklist error:  It was the same but with port 5252..."...connecting to 10.20.9.80:5252...". That tells me that we fixed the communication between balanced machines and NLB and the requests from the balanced machines to the NLB are no longer discarted.

Also, do you know where this IP (10.20.9.80) is stored? Because I changed the HOSTS file and pointed the NLB name to the IP of one of the balanced machines and this IP kept showing on the Configuration Analysis tool.
