Previous Field Value changed to New Value

Back in the old days, Nintex Workflow had a condition that captured the Previous Value of a Field and allowed you to set an action if that specific value was changed to another specific value.

For whatever reason, they removed that option.  Anyone have a workaround or a way to make that happen?

I just need an email to send when a Status (fieldName) is changed from Pending to Escalation (fieldValues).

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Hi @anderj39 ,

quite simple answer in NWC, just create a second workflow which looks a sharepoint list, checking the changes of list and push the mail.

The great thing, duo to that this is a simple wf with one action, it will not charge on the license.

Hi Sven. Seeking more information on what you mean by "checking the changes." How does one achieve this in NWC? Not having easy access to previous value data is a real pain in conditionally running certain actions. Would love to know what the solution would be, in more detail.

Hi @harley5000 ,

the magic here is the start event: SharePoint - Update list item.

Here you can select this, and now the workflow is waiting for changes in the list (of course you can use conditions and of course you can get the data you need out of the SharePoint List).
