Default person from value in another list

Hi,

 

I'm able to lookup another list to get a person into a form variable and calculatded field successfully

parselookup(lookup("approvers", "area sector",Area+Sector,  "approver"))

 

I would like this same logic applied to set the default value in a people picker control but it doesn't seem to work.

    Hi,

    The only way to set the default on a People Picker control is by using the default field in the control settings. Unfortunately this field does not support the Lookup() and parseLookup() runtime functions and it does not support named controls.
    At the present time only the Single Lines of Text control can be set by a rule when using a responsive form.
