Is there a way in office 365 workflows that had been manually terminated to change the status from "In Progress" to "Completed" or "cancelled"??

No. That status is set by the workflow itself. So once it gets terminated, there is nothing more executed from the workflow, so no status change is possible. It "freezes" on the last set value. I've never seen any REST API to alter workflow's status too.

+9Thanks , This is so annoying, I would expect to at least change the status to cancelled or error occurred. Given that we also can't filter on workflow status, or report on internal status, it is very hard to keep track of things 
I hope there is some enhancements planned for it in the future.

+17I doubt anything will be changed. Be aware, this is not Nintex. This is pure SharePoint's Workflow Manager service.
