O365 - Unable to add multiple numeric workflow variables

Jump to solution

When I try to add multiple numeric values using the "Set Workflow Variable" action, I only get the option to use "Advanced Lookup" when I select a non-numeric variable type.

This means I can easily string pieces of text together, but cannot add 3 workflow variables and store the result.

Hi Kyle,

If I understand well what you want to do is to sum 3 values.

Then I suggest to use the Do Calculation Action.

Hi Christophe,

I can only add 2 values using the Do Calculation action.  Am I missing something to add another operand to the equation?

Thanks,

Kyle.

Hi Kyle,

True. Either you know how many sums you need and you need to add as many Do Calculation actions and store each time the total in the same variable.

Action 1

total = Interger1 + Integer2

Action 2

total = total + Integer 3

and so on ...

Or you can use a Loop.

Does it help?

Christophe

Hi Christophe,

That's the workaround we currently have in place - I was just hoping there was something more elegant/scalable.

Thanks for your assistance.

Kyle.
