How to Cancel ctrl+A in internet explorer and chrome ETC

I pressed ctrl+A to select all,

and after that I want to cancel it, the pnly option that worked was to mouse click on an empty spot on screen

Is there any other option to Cancel the select all

Hi Daniel,

 

If you are using CTRL+A in a text field then the HOME or END buttons should deselect.

 

If you are doing CTRL+A on the entire webpage then you may just have to refresh the page (HOME/END won't work here). In Chrome the shortcut for this is CTRL+F5.

Note: You can also try the shortcut "CTRL + Shift + Home". I just tested it on my end and it seems to work.
